Our Government Petition
"Your Journey, Your Dignity, Our Support"
Help Us Change the Law to Protect Men's Dignity
We have filed a petition to make it a legal requirement for all public and commercial toilets to have a sanitary bin, regardless of gender.
Currently, the law only requires sanitary bins in female or mixed-gender toilets, as outlined in:
-
Workplace (Health, Safety and Welfare) Regulations 1992
-
Environmental Protection Act 1990
-
Water Industries Act 1991
These regulations ensure that businesses provide a safe and hygienic way to dispose of waste, protecting public health and hygiene standards.
Why This Matters
For men living with prostate cancer, prostate issues, or age-related male health problems, the absence of sanitary bins can be humiliating and undignified.
Providing sanitary bins in all toilets means men can:
-
Maintain their dignity and privacy
-
Leave their homes with confidence
-
Manage their health needs safely and hygienically
Imagine your dad, brother, uncle, cousin, godfather, or friend navigating these issues without access to proper facilities. It's a reality many men face daily — and we believe it's time for a change.
How You Can Help
To have the government debate this petition, we need over 100,000 signatures. With widespread support, we believe we could reach over a million.
Even if you haven't personally been affected, there may be a man in your life — a family member, friend, or colleague — who could benefit from this change. Your signature can help improve DIGNITY FOR MEN™ across the country.
